Capleton (urodzony jako Clifton George Bailey III 13 kwietnia 1967 w Saint Mary na Jamajce) jest arystą reggae i dancehall znany również jako King Shango, King David, The Fireman i The Prophet. Jego wytwórnia ma nazwę David House Production. W 1989 roku pierwszy raz zagrał dla publiczności. Stewart Brown, właściel African Star, dał mu możliwość do wykazania się przed takimi gwiazdami jak Ninjaman, czy Flourgan. Capleton mówi, że nauki pobiera z każdego kultu Rasta. Nyahbinghi, Dwanaście Plemion, Ortodoksyjny Kościoł Koptyjski i Natsari są dla niego jednością. Największym szacunkiem darzy jednak Bobo Dread, gdyż "Bobo" oznacza "Lojalny", lub "Wierzący Jemu". Capleton w swych utworach głosi poglądy oczyszczenia duszy za pomocą Ognia i postępowania według Prawa Mojżeszowego, a nie dzielenia ludzi względem rasy, czy orientacji seksualnej. "Ogień" to metaforyczne określenie bycia sobą, postępowania dobrze wobec siebie i innych. Clifton na zarzuty o rasizmie tłumaczy, że to nieważne skąd pochodzisz, bo ważna jest jedna miłość.
