Urodzony w Kingston na Jamajce jako Moses Davis jest dużo bardziej znany na całym świecie pod pseudonimem Beenie Man. Swój pierwszy singiel nagrał w wieku 7 lat, a w wieku 10 lat wydał pierwszą płytę, "The Invincible Beenie Man". Przez całe lata 80te kontynuował nagrywanie płyt i DJj'owanie. W 1993 wspólnie z Bounty Killerem wydał album "Gunz Out", a następnie remake piosenki Boba Marleya "No Woman, No Cry", zatytułowany "No Mama, No Cry", który wyprodukował legendarny team producencki Sly i Robbie. W 1997 Beenie zyskał światowy rozgłos dzięki utworom z nominowanej do Grammy płyty "Many Moods Of Moses" i singlowi "Who Am I?". Mniej więcej w tym samym czasie Beenie debiutował jako aktor w uznanym, świetnie ocenianym przez krytykę filmie "Dancehall Queen". Virgin Records odpowiedziało na wybuch popularności Beeniego i podpisało z nim kontrakt. W roku 1998 nagrał "The Doctor" - pierwszy album nagrany w Stanach Zjednoczonych. "Art And Life" - drugi nagrany w Virgin Records album, to wynik współpracy z Arturo Sandoval'em i Wyclef Jean'em. Hity "Girls Dem Sugar" wyprodukowany przez The Neptunem z gościnnym udziałem Mya, czy współtworzony z Wyclef'em, wyprodukowany przez Saalam Remi'ego "Love Me Now", wyniosły Beeniego na szczyty. O swoje twórczości Artysta mówi "Ciągle wydaję single i zajmuję się DJ'owaniem. To bardzo ważne by nigdy nie stracić kontaktu z tym co się dzieje. Pokonałem każdą granicę i pobiłem każdy rekord," mówi głosem pełnym pokory o swoim ostatnim albumie człowiek trzykrotnie nominowany do nagrody Grammy i który wielokrotnie zdobył nagrodę Music Of Black Origin w Wielkiej Brytanii.
